Competitors will be expected to utilize artificial intelligence to help support caregivers of older adults and people with disabilities.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced that the Administration for Community Living is holding a competition to encourage innovation and seek practical ways to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to help address current challenges that caregivers face on a daily basis. This includes delivering training, predicting health risks, monitoring well-being, and automating certain processes and documentation to reduce the burden on caregivers.
The competition is focusing on two tracks: supporting family, friends, and other direct caregivers; and supporting employers in the caregiving workforce.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stated, “America’s caregivers carry our nation’s most vulnerable on their shoulders, and they do it with a strength and devotion that rarely gets the recognition it deserves. With the Caregiver AI Challenge, we are… mobilizing innovation to lighten caregivers’ load and ensure every family has the support they need to care for the people they love.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Administration for Community Living Administrator and Assistant Secretary for Aging Mary Lazare as her department conducts this competition to better support caregivers.
- For God to lead Secretary Kennedy as he oversees this initiative to provide innovative and helpful solutions for caregivers.
- For all the caregivers in the U.S. to receive the Lord’s strength as they look after family members and loved ones.
